Jeffrey: Courtney Barnett's strung out, deadpan thing (which I typically dig) is probably not the best match for Speedway Boogie, which requires a certain gusto.
Kendrick Lamar - Untitled 03
Shmoo: It's a jam session jazz album. The type of stuff that'll get spins in River North and Logan Square. This dude is playing a different game.

Jo Jo: The idea that we get hooked on bad songs because they're played on repeat doesn't seem novel to me. I also like smoking cigarettes even though they're bad for me. It's ironic that Billy Corgan is interviewed in this piece because "1979" is a flaming pile of shit that became popular because it was played on alternative radio 24/7 until we all just kind of gave up and agreed it was a hit.
